THAI-10H-C Travel’s motorcycle tours to Laos are more expedition than tour. Riding in Laos is a true adventure and a unique motorcycling experience. Road conditions are highly unpredictable, as is electricity supply, opening times in restaurants, and much more! Itineraries may change at short notice, and sometimes even during the tour. So, instead of giving you a full itinerary, we give you just a very brief one indicating our likely route. Below you will find one rider’s impression of his tour.

The two tours we run each year are different in character. The New Year tour is for experienced offroaders only – while most of the riding is enjoyable rather than impossible, adverse weather conditions can make riding quite challenging. Our January tour is a little less rigorous as we keep in the main to recognised roads – although that is a very loose definition! About 70-80% of this tour is on tarmac/pavement, so you will still need reasonable offroad skills. And we use our enduro bikes for both tours.

Laos remains one of the most ‘unspoilt’ countries in the World. Although to the Western eye there may appear to be many similarities with Thailand, to Lao and Thai peoples, there are perhaps more differences than similarities. Touring Laos is a challenging and ultimately very satisfying experience. It has so much to offer anyone willing to look, listen and learn. So, prepare yourself, and take the plunge!
