Morocco is designed for offroad touring - a land of mountains, and vast and unfrequented area, offering mule tracks, river beds, open plain, forests, moorland, the famous Todra Gorge, and much, much more. The scenery and riding to and in the Atlas Mountains is truly spectacular, and these tours offer a great short-haul escape for riders fed up with mud-plugging, trail closures, and increasingly restricted access. And then of course there’s the sand dunes .....

Our tours are 80-90% off-road, and the tour dates are guaranteed. You will ride up to 8 hours a day, and the terrain varies from fast straights through river crossings and tricky rocky sections to sand dunes, and everything in between. These are 9with one notable exception) not pure desert tours, but take you through beautiful parts of the Middle and High Atlas. Previous off-road experience is required, as is a reasonable level of fitness, as routes and distances can be challenging. Routes are subject to change depending on riding conditions and riders’ experience.

Our guides

John Griffiths and Su Downham have been running offroad tours since 1996, first in Andorra and since 2001 in Morocco. John wasMOR - John Griffiths born in Tanzania, and prior to running tours, he worked for 16 years in the oil related diving business.  He has paramedic training and experience, and safety (a highly important issue in biking – one which is often not given sufficient attention) is one of his main concerns.
John plans the routes using GPS, maintains “the fleet” to very high standards; co-ordinates guides etc., and generally run all the operational side of the business.

MOR - SuSu left the UK over 20 years ago. She speaks English, Spanish, Catalan and French fluently and has considerable experience in tourism and PR, as well as having run her own estate agency and building company in Andorra.
She is responsible for all the administration and legal side of the company, finding and booking tour accommodation and arrangements for meals etc., and generally making sure that all aspects of your holiday run smoothly and efficiently.

MOR - AdamIn 2005, they were joined by Adam, John’s eldest son, as a mechanic and guide, adding Danish and Swedish to their selection of languages.MOR - Hussein

Houssein is the chief mechanic, working on the bikes and accompanying all our tours. He is a native of Ouarzazarte. This year as the fleet size has increased, he has been joined by his brother Abdu. Both are very accomplished and experienced mechanics and a big asset .
