Itinerary

DAY 1 Sydney – Kangaroo Valley (200 km). Our tour starts with a ride to the Royal National Park, one of Sydney’s favourite playgrounds over the century. Then it’s off to Stanwell on the coast for lunch at Hargreaves before climbing the tops to see the hang gliders and birds in action on the 200 m cliffs. The afternoon ride along the coast road offers many fine views while negotiating the bends. Hopefully the blowhole at Kiama will give you a good show, before you arrive in secluded and serene Kangaroo Valley.

DAY 2 Kangaroo Valley - Blue Mountains (220 km). Start the day with a ride to Fitzroy Falls, named after one of the great British explorers of the 19th century. Then ride to the Southern Highlands, taking lunch in an area that was among the first to be settled by Europeans. As you head up into the Blue Mountains, you begin to realise why pioneers chose this area when heading out from Sydney. There’s plenty of free time to do your own thing before dinner..AUS - On the road 1

DAY 3 Blue Mountains – Hawkesbury Valley (250-300 km). This morning is spent sightseeing in the Blue Mountains - Three Sisters, Skyway, Scenic Railway or a short walk through the lush, 'blue' bushland from which the area gets its name. There’s plenty of time before you ride to the renowned Mt Tomah Botanic Gardens for lunch. From the restaurant, it’s a relaxing afternoon ride to the Hawkesbury Valley. The valley is a real delight – picturesque, unhurried, peaceful – a real hideaway.

DAY 4 Hawkesbury Valley - Sydney (200 km). It's time to head back, but there's still plenty to see. Your ride can detour north and then return to Sydney by the coast road, or you can visit some of the famous beaches north of Sydney, meandering along the Old Pacific Highway before picking up the main road to take you back into Sydney, to arrive by about 5 pm.
