Australia Encompassed motorcycle adventure

Australia Encompassed is a 19 day/20 night transcontinental motorcycle adventure. From the delights of the Northern Territory through the iconic red centre of Australia, along one of the greatest outback tracks and along the incredible biking roads of Victoria. Intricate landscapes and fascinating people await you all along the way. About 10% of the tour is off-road (on hard gravel, sometimes loose and rutted, and with small sections of sand and possibility of shallow creek crossings.) It all adds up to one of the most iconic rides there is! If you’re going to cross a continent, then this is the way to do it!

  • Day 1


    Arrive in Darwin and transfer to your hotel where you’ll meet your crew and enjoy a welcome meeting.

    Day 2

    Darwin – Kakadu National Park

    Leave Darwin behind and take a three-hour ride into the heart of Australia’s largest national park of Kakadu.

    Day 3

    Kakadu National Park

    A full day to explore the park, enjoy a boat ride on the river in search from crocodiles or walk around the beautiful rainforest.

    Day 4

    Kakadu National Park – Katherine

    Riding south reach the sub-tropical town of Katherine where you visit the amazing 20-million-year-old Nitmiluk National Park, also known as Katherine Gorge.

    Day 5

    Katherine – Tennant Creek

    Continue south through the outback towards Daly Waters and the fascinating Newcastle Waters with its hotel made of abandoned windmills. Carry on to your destination for the evening – Tennant Creek.

    Day 6

    Tennant Creek – Alice Springs

    One of the territories most recognisable rock formations is your first stop today – Devil’s marbles. A visit to the quirky Barrow Creek Hotel is next before arriving in the heart of Australia, Alice Springs.

    Day 7

    Alice Springs

    A free day to explore Alice Springs. Take a walk along the ‘Todd River’ famously dry and visit the Flying Doctors Museum.

    Day 8

    Alice Springs – Kings Canyon

    Leave Alice behind and head back into the outback on tarmac roads to the wonder that is Kings Canyon.

    Day 9

    Kings Canyon – Uluru

    A half day’s ride takes you to one of the world’s greatest natural attractions, Uluru or Ayers Rock!

    Day 10


    We spend the day at the rock with time to visit the spectacular Olgas or walk to the Valley of the Winds. Alternatively there are many optional excursion to enjoy such as camel riding or a helicopter trip.

    Day 11

    Uluru – Coober Pedy

    Today cross into South Australia and ride into the mulga scrublands that this region is noted for. The day ends in Coober Pedy, a mining town where over half the population lives underground, as is your hotel.

    Day 12

    Coober Pedy – William Creek

    Start today with an opal mine tour and a fascinating demonstration of how the opal is extracted. After lunch continue to Australia’s smallest town, William Creek.

    Day 13

    William Creek – Marree

    Today ride along the Oodnadatta Track and take a dip in the natural warm water spa at coward Springs before heading to Marree for your overnight stop.

    Day 14

    Marree – Rawnsley Park Station

    Leaving Marree you’ll reach paved roads again and ride south to Rawnsley Park Station, located on the southern end of the Flinders Range National Park.

    Day 15

    Rawnsley Park Station

    A day to exploring the wonderful Flinders Ranges national Park via a number of scenic on and off-road tracks.

    Day 16

    Rawnsley Park Station – Lyndoch

    Riding south travel through the scenic Clare Valley before reaching Australia’s foremost wine region the Barossa Valley where you’ll overnight in the town of Lyndoch.

    Day 17

    Lyndoch – Robe

    Leaving Lyndoch ride the beautiful Adelaide Hills, a biker’s paradise. As you reach the coast you enter a world of lagoons, sand dunes and lakes as you ride through the beautiful Coorong National Park before reaching Robe.

    Day 18

    Robe – Halls Gap

    Leave South Austraila crossing into Victoria and entering a world of forests, fern gullies, creeks, lakes and swampland within the Grampians National Park.

    Day 19

    Halls Gap – Port Campbell

    Enjoy one of the world’s greatest coastal rides today, the Great Ocean Road!

    Day 20

    Port Campbell – Melbourne

    The last day on the road brings you into the vibrant city of Melbourne, stopping at the iconic 12 Apostles, Lord Ard Gorge and many more viewpoints enroute.

    Day 21


    Your tour comes to an end today, if you have time explore this cosmopolitan city before your onward travel arrangements.
