This awe-inspiring Wild Patagonia Motorcycle Tour showcases the Chilean Lakes district and takes you deep into the wilds of Patagonia. It gives you a taste of Argentina’s epic Seven Lakes Drive and the vast Argentinian pampas. Ride amongst snow-capped glaciated volcanoes that tower over verdant hills and pristine lakes. Enjoy some of Chile and Argentina’s finest scenery as you explore ancient forests, sparkling emerald lakes and dramatic mountain landscapes, all while staying in superbly located lakeside accommodation.

  • Day 1


    Your Santiago airport transfer will take you directly to the hotel, ready for an early start tomorrow. Today you will meet the rest of the crew and group for your tour briefing and welcome dinner.

    Day 2

    Santiago – Pucón

    After a short flight to from Santiago to Temuco you will be transferred to the hotel in Pucón, a wonderful township nestled at the foot of Villarrica Volcano deep within the stunning Chilean lakes district. Get acquainted with your bike before going on an afternoon introductory ride. Enjoy a great ride designed that will take in some of the extraordinary scenery that abounds, and one that offers a mix of on and off-road.

    Day 3

    Pucón – Petrohué

    Ride south through to the shores of Lago Llanquihue. Continue surrounded by spectacular scenery and verdant farmlands before viewing the snow-capped cone of the Volcano Osorno. Along the shores of Lago Todos Los Santos we come to our overnight stop at Petrohue.

    Day 4

    Petrohué – Hornopiren

    Entering Patagonia todays ride hugs the shoreline of the mighty Estero Reloncavi, a breath-taking fjord with forest-covered mountains. We’ll be staying near Hornopiren national park.

    Day 5

    Hornopiren – Chaiten

    Today is spent crossing two spectacular fjords, arriving at Caleto Gonzalo before a short ride to Chaiten a town engulfed by a nearby volcano in 2008.

    Day 6

    Chaiten – Futaleufu

    Continuing south hugging the shoreline of Lago Yelcho and traversing a landscape of mountains and valleys before entering a steeped walled canyon and the town of Futaleufu. This is white water rafting heaven.

    Day 7

    Futaleufu – Puyuhuapi

    Travel through a world of thick rainforest,. stunning lakes and scenery that is the epitome of tranquility. Your overnight stop can only be reached by boat!

    Day 8

    Puyuhapi – Coyhaique

    Cross a rugged pass surrounded by the breath-taking landscape of virgin evergreen forest at Queulat National Park. Ride around glaciers and ice fields before visiting the Ventisquero hanging glacier en-route to Coyhaique.

    Day 9

    Coyhaique – Puerto Rio Tranquillo

    Ride through the mighty Cerro Catillo National Park, a landscape of mighty snow-capped granite towers. Reach the waters of Lago Gral Carrera before arriving in Rio Tranquillo.

    Day 10

    Puerto Rio Tranquillo Rest Day

    Visit the remarkable Las Cavernas Marmoles with its swirling patterns of blue, grey and black marble spectacularly set against a glacial blue of Lago General Carrera. All before viewing the fastest retreating glacier – San Rafael.

    Day 11

    Puerto Rio Tranquillo – Perito Merino

    Cross the Andes into Argentina as the landscape opens up and becomes the vast open, big sky landscape that Patagonia is renowned for.

    Day 12

    Perito Merino – Esquel

    Paved twisting roads makes for an exhilarating days riding on Ruta 40. Tonight’s stop is the friendly town of Esquel in the foothills of the Andes and home to the famous Patagonia Express.

    Day 13

    Esquel – Bariloche

    Continue north into the UNESCO listed Los Alerces National Park considered one of the most stunning in all of Argentina. Visit the town of Cholila, where Butch Cassidy once had a ranch before continuing to Bariloche.

    Day 14

    Bariloche Rest Day

    Today is yours to explore this incredibly picturesque town surrounded with beautiful lakes and snow-capped peaks and famous for its chocolate! Why not take a ride around the renowned Circquito Chico?

    Day 15

    Bariloche – Pucón

    Cross the border back into Chile via the spectacular Seven Lakes Drive, taking in the astounding scenery before descending through a monkey puzzle forest into Pucón.

    Day 16

    Pucón – Santiago

    Transfer back to Temuco on a private bus then fly back to Santiago for the final night of the tour.

    Day 17


    Your Wild Patagonia Motorcycle Tour has come to an end. Transfer to the airport for your onward travel arrangements. Enjoy many happy memories!
